FMS: Setting Goals and Creating a Budget

   Wednesday, November 7, 2018     6:00 – 8:00 pm 

   

Rachel Grubin will help attendees develop short, and long-term financial goals and plans for the year. Participants will build a budget to achieve them. Clients are asked to bring a copy of their recent bills (credit card, utilities, etc. ELECTIVE 

 

  

 


 

 

 PDS: Make The Most of Your LinkedIn Pro

 Wednesday, November 28, 2018     6:00 – 8:00 pm 

 

Join Katie Fogarty, a communications consultant, as she offers proven tips for creating powerful, professional LinkedIn profiles and strategies for using LinkedIn to job hunt. This workshop helps beginners get started and teaches more advanced users new tricks.

Participants should have a LinkedIn account, and bring a smartphone to access your account but you will also be working with paper worksheets. ELECTIVE

 

 


  

 

PDS: Customer Service Skills: An Interactive Workshop

We all speak about times we've recieved good customer service as well as poor customer service, and chances are we've shared our poor experiences more frequently than we've shared our pleasant ones. Good customer service skills are so important in any career. This workshop will discuss the principles of customer service, and walk you through some real life situations for you to decide what service really means in today's world. Bibi Ali from Amalgamated Bank, will lead this workshop and will provide an overview of different types of financial institutions, deposit accounts, and banking services. Wednesday, January 23, 2019     6:00 – 8:00 pm 

 

Now that you have a job, how do you make sure that you do a good job? Sheila Lambert will lead this workshop on transitioning to a new job or position and gaining early success. She will discuss the key to making the transition, managing change, and getting off to a good start. CORE

  

 


  

   

FMS: Debt Managment

   Monday, January 28, 2019     6:00 – 8:00 pm 

   

Tami Peter will lead this workshop on managing and reducing debt. She will discuss taking control of spending, becoming debt-free, understanding compound interest and using your budget. Bring a copy of your credit report to the class. If you do not have a credit report, please visit www.annualcreditreport.com Bottomless Closet will reimburse you for any fees you incur to generate the credit report. This workshop is a prerequisite to the Budgeting workshop. This is a prerequisite to the budgeting workshop. CORE

 

 


 

 

PDS: Legal Panel of Attorneys

Join us and the Association of Black Women Attorneys for a panel discussion on a variety of key legal topics. You will have the opporturnity to ask questions and get clarification on areas of interest including employment law. ELECTIVE
